GRACE and E³UDRES² Collaborate in Valmiera on the Future of Joint European Learning

As E³UDRES² moves closer to becoming a fully-fledged European University, joint programmes remain at the heart of its mission to foster innovation and interconnected learning across Europe. One of the flagship initiatives, the Master in Applied XR: Gamified Reality Applications (GRACE), has already achieved full accreditation in three countries and is set to welcome its first cohort of students in Autumn 2026.

“To ensure cutting-edge, flexible, and interdisciplinary learning opportunities, E³UDRES² partners continuously evolve course formats and content. During a recent two-day workshop at Vidzeme University of Applied Sciences, experts from nine partner institutions collaborated on developing follow-up programmes and establishing frameworks for the alliance’s new learning formats, soon to be hosted in the newly launched E³UDRES² Arena,” said Michael Iber, Academic Director of GRACE and E³UDRES². The E³UDRES² Arena serves as the alliance’s digital hub — an online platform offering shared services and tools for students, staff, and researchers across all partner institutions.

Adding to the momentum, the E³UDRES² “Developing Talents” team met on-site in Valmiera from 4–5 November. Their focus: building the E³UDRES² Multi-i-Campus, a flexible learning ecosystem featuring Joint Degrees, Micro-credentials, E³UDRES²-labelled shared lectures, and a mobility model designed to make learning across Europe seamless and enriching.

Together, these initiatives mark another important step in creating a truly integrated, innovative, and learner-centred European University experience.
