The application process for GRACE consists of three stages. We’ve structured it to give you early feedback and help you prepare a strong application.

Stage 1
Early Application Check
This is your first step. You apply through the STPUAS website. At this stage, we ask for basic documents to get a first impression and advise you on your suitability for the programme.
Stage 2
Full Application Review
This stage begins once we’ve advised you to continue after Stage 1. Now we ask for more detailed materials to evaluate your readiness and match with the programme.
Stage 3
Interview (if needed)
Interviews are only scheduled if we believe a conversation could help us better understand your profile and potential.
What You Need to Prepare
What you need to submit:
- Passport (scan)
- Curriculum Vitae (CV)
- Letter of Motivation (describe your background, ambitions, and fit with GRACE)
- Latest transcript of records (in English; no apostille or diplomatic authentication required at this stage)
- Final diploma or current study certificate (in English; no apostille or diplomatic authentication required at this stage)
- A deposit of €200 may apply for applicants from outside the EU.
You will be informed during the official application process if this applies to your country.
The fee will be refunded if your application is rejected, or deducted from your tuition fee if you are admitted.
What happens next:
- Your profile and documents will be reviewed.
- You will receive personalised feedback, indicating whether your profile appears suitable, conditionally suitable, or unlikely a fit.
- If appropriate, you will be invited to proceed to Stage 2
What you need to upload:
- Proof of English proficiency (see minimum requirements)
- Transcript of records (for non-EU students with apostille/diplomatic authentication if applicable)
- Final diploma (for non-EU students with apostille/diplomatic authentication if applicable)
- Portfolio (recommended if your degree is not in game/XR development): showcase your relevant skills. Submission will be considered for ranking if the number of qualified applicants exceeds the number of available study places.)
- Personal video introduction (short video introducing yourself and your motivation. Submission will be considered for ranking if the number of qualified applicants exceeds the number of available study places.)
- 1 or 2 letters of recommendation (one academic, one professional. Submission will be considered for ranking if the number of qualified applicants exceeds the number of available study places.)

What happens next:
- Your application will be checked for completeness and reviewed by the GRACE Selection Board.
- If all is in order, you may receive a study offer directly.
- If additional clarification is needed, you may be invited for an interview (see Stage 3).
We only schedule interviews if your documents raise questions or if we wish to discuss your background further.
- Format: 15–20 minute video interview
- Focus: motivation, relevant skills, readiness for an international mobility-based Master
What happens next:
- You receive a final decision: admission offer or rejection
- If admitted, you will receive a study agreement, followed by support for visa, housing, and enrolment
Limited Places – Ranking Applies
GRACE is a selective Joint Master’s with only 25 study places available each year.
If the number of qualified applicants exceeds the number of places, we apply a ranking process based on your application materials.
While your portfolio, personal video, and recommendation letters are recommended, they can strongly influence your ranking. We encourage you to include them if you wish to strengthen your profile.
How your application is assessed
All applications are reviewed by the GRACE Selection Board using a holistic assessment approach. This means we look at the full profile of each applicant, rather than a single document or score.
Applications are assessed using the same set of predefined academic and programme-related criteria, including:
- relevance of your academic background
- academic performance and transcript of records
- motivation, clarity of goals, and career vision
- quality and relevance of your portfolio (if submitted)
- alignment with the focus and objectives of the GRACE programme
- personal and professional skills, such as collaboration and learning attitude
Due to the limited number of available study places, not all qualified applicants can be admitted. Final decisions are based on the overall strength and fit of the application within the applicant pool.

- On-site registration: 28 August 2026.
- Programme start: 31 August 2026.
Application status
The official application deadline has passed.
A limited number of study places is still available.
Applications are processed on a rolling basis and considered in the order in which complete applications are received. Receipt of the mandatory documents is decisive for consideration.
We therefore recommend submitting your application as soon as possible.
Please Note
- This is a three-stage application process, our aim is to support you early on and avoid unnecessary effort for applicants who are not a fit.
- You can submit documents in English, even if not officially translated at Stage 1. Official certification is only needed later.
