Discover XR Innovation First-Hand: Join the Erasmus+ Hackathon in Latvia!

We’re excited to share a unique opportunity for GRACE students and XR enthusiasts across Europe: from 11 to 15 June 2025, our partner Vidzeme University of Applied Sciences will host an Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Programme (BIP)—a hands-on Immersive Multimedia & AR/VR Hackathon in Latvia.

This 5-day experience offers a dynamic mix of theory and practice in Extended Reality (XR), with a strong emphasis on creativity, collaboration, and real-world problem-solving. Students will work in teams to design, prototype, and pitch XR-based solutions using immersive tools like 360° video, AR/VR storytelling, and gamification techniques.

What to Expect

• Learn how to organise hackathons for XR innovation
• Collaborate in international teams on immersive tech challenges
• Pitch and present your XR prototype
• Choose your preferred role: creator, developer, or storyteller
• Network with XR experts from academia and industry

The hackathon aligns with the European Commission’s strategy on Web 4.0 and virtual worlds, contributing to a secure, inclusive, and digitally forward learning environment.

Who can apply?
Students in IT, 3D Modelling, Game Design, Architecture, and Urban Planning (Bachelor or Master level). Only 10 places are available, so don’t wait too long to apply!
